Q. When are payments processed? A. Session payments are processed at the end of the day, between 12am to 2am, following your appointment.

Q. If there was an error in payment & I was overcharged, can I receive a refund? A. We understand that errors can happen. If you're accidentally overcharged, we'll quickly refund the difference to your original payment method. Please allow 1-3 business days for the refund to appear in your account. Payments can only be made on the same card that was used for the initial payment.

Q. If I was not satisfied with my session, am I entitled to a full refund? A. No. We understand that therapy is a personal journey. While payment is expected after each session, if you feel our services aren't the right fit, we're here to help you find the support you need. You can: a. End your sessions at any point. b. Ask us for a personalized list of therapists who might be a better match. c. Reach out to your primary care physician for additional resources and referrals.

Q. How much does each session cost? A. While our Fees page outlines our straightforward pricing, we want to ensure you're aware of your rights under the No Surprises Act. Even as a private-pay client, you can request a Good Faith Estimate outlining the total expected cost of your counseling services. Feel free to ask for this estimate during your complimentary 15-minute consultation. If you're charged $400 or more beyond the estimate, you can dispute the bill. Be sure to keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records. Learn more about your rights at www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Q. Do you offer discounted rates? A. We understand that everyone's financial circumstances are different. If weekly therapy isn't currently possible, we have several alternatives: Flexible Scheduling: Choose bi-weekly or monthly sessions to create a schedule that works for you financially. FSA/HSA Benefits: Your pre-tax Flexible Spending or Healthcare Savings Account may cover counseling services. Income-Based Options: We offer a limited number of reduced-fee sessions based on income. Discuss your financial situation during your consultation for eligibility.

Q. What happens if I arrive late to my appointment? Will I be charged a late fee? A. We do not charge late fees. However, your scheduled appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, and payment is expected for the full session. If you arrive up to 15 minutes late, we'll still conduct a partial session, but the full session rate will apply.

Q. Is there a policy around cancellation or rescheduling a session? If so, is there a fee? A. We understand that life happens and schedules change. You can cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason, as long as you notify us by phone or email at least 48 hours beforehand. There's no fee if you cancel within this timeframe. If you cancel after the 48-hour window, the full session fee will apply.

Q. How do I know if I need therapy? A. There are many reasons why individual therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) could be beneficial for you. Whether you're experiencing overwhelming emotions, struggling with negative thought patterns, or simply looking to improve your overall well-being, CBT can offer practical tools and strategies for positive change. Common signs that therapy might be right for you include persistent feelings of anxiety or depression, difficulty managing stress, or a sense of being stuck in unhealthy patterns of behavior. CBT is a proactive approach to mental health, empowering you to understand and change your thought patterns, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and ultimately create a more fulfilling life.

Q. What can you expect during the initial intake session? A. Prior to your session, you'll receive an email containing confidentiality and policy documents for your review and signature. The initial session will begin with a brief overview of these documents, followed by ample time for you to discuss your goals and expectations for therapy. At the end of the session, you'll have the option to: a) Schedule a follow-up appointment. b) Take some time to consider whether you'd like to continue with further sessions or explore other options. c) Decide that therapy is not the right fit for you at this time. This approach allows you to make an informed decision about your therapy journey and ensures that your needs and preferences are prioritized.

Q. How do I know that therapy or coaching is working? A. You'll know therapy or coaching is working when you experience positive shifts in your thoughts and behaviors. You'll likely notice increased clarity and confidence in your decisions, a reduction in stress and anxiety, and a greater sense of self-worth. Negative thought patterns will lessen, emotional regulation will improve, and you'll find yourself better equipped to navigate life's challenges. As you progress through therapy, you'll gain valuable tools to achieve personal goals, build healthier relationships, and ultimately cultivate a more fulfilling and joyful life.

Q. I am interested in online therapy or coaching. How does this work? A. Experience the benefits of therapy from the comfort of your own home. Our secure online platform prioritizes your privacy and offers convenient scheduling options. At Invictus Health & Wellness, LLC, all Counseling Services are for individuals living in Kansas. However, there are no residential restrictions for online coaching.

Q. In therapy, there are the circumstances by which confidentiality can be broken? A. While therapy provides a safe space to share openly, there are certain circumstances where your therapist is legally and ethically obligated to take action. In Kansas , therapists are mandated reporters, meaning they must report instances of suspected abuse, neglect, self-harm, or harm to others to relevant authorities. This is done solely to ensure the safety and well-being of you and those around you. If such situations arise, your therapist will discuss this with you and explain the necessary steps involved.
